I will be in NOLA in a couple of weeks and would like to have breakfast in the city on a Sunday morning.

Spare me the Mother's contribution unless it is absolutely necessary that I eat there.

Court of Two Sister for a great Jazz brunch. Haven't been in a few years so can't testify as to the current quality. Port of Call for the best burger and bloody mary breakfast.

Cafe Degas does a good brunch. I'm also partial to Elizabeth's.

I like Petunia's as well and the Pepper Mill in Metairie does a good brunch.

I like Court of Two Sisters. Not the best but you sure can't beat the atmosphere.

Camelia Grill

The gf and I were tired last night and wanted a quick easy meal, so we went to Camelia since we hadn't been in a while. It's just not the same any more.

Oh, and it's not even close to comparing to the other places mentioned here.

Catman,

please note that I did not suggest Surrey's in this thread...I think I deserve a pat on the back.

With that said Surrey's and Blue Plate Cafe are the two best cheap breakfasts in town.

Dante's Kitchen has a very solid brunch menu as well.

Blue Plate ALWAYS seems closed....at least the two times I've passed there. Once was on a sunday morning for breakfast....that was definitely a tease. TA do you happen to know their hours? Seems odd that they were closed on a sunday morning when places rack up on breakfast customers.

Surreys has some AMAZING orange juice for an outstandingly expensive price, but I guess that's what you get for fresh squeezed!
