ESPN app is trash

Trying to watch the softball game and lord it brought uo how bad this app experience is. The only media app that refuses to learn preferences. I watch LSU sports exclusively and I still have to scroll or search for every game. I'm always getting logged out and having to reenter credentials...seems like about every 2 weeks. Even then every other media app offers a QR code option...nope not ESPN app...type that password in w a remote. How has it not gotten even a smidgen better in years???
ETA: how about the bullshite where you have to wait for the event to start to click on it. Most of the time you try to click to get in a few minutes esrly to see if it's gonna be one of the tired you gotta retype anything only to be told hasnt started...then have to backup all the way out the category and keep checking till it's live...only to miss the first minute or so as you retype your credentials

It's garbage. I used the favorites section to pick my favorites, but apparently it's useless now.

It truly is a piece of crap. I guess they figure they have the content monopoly so they don’t have to worry too much about user experience. I love when it freezes me out and then when I close and reopen it says there are too many concurrent streams running on the account.

What's wild though is they sell ESPN+... I have no idea who navigates the free app supported by cable/streaming and wants to pay additional for more

They just announced a new direct to consumer stream starting in 2025. The shittiness of the current app is probably going to make people hesitant to pay what will likely be a pretty penny for the new product.
Saving favorite teams used to help on some platforms. If it would even save my last search for LSU it would help, but it’s like they intentionally make it suck and refuse to improve it.

This is the most infuriating part....95% I watch LSU baseball..yet opening day I'm either going to have to search or scroll through 30 games to get to ours.

These "kinks" have existed since I started using the app....it literally has never progressed or evolved in any way

I would have to agree. It is an unnavigable piece of crap. They also suppress college baseball for some bizarre reason.

For reference check out the Paramount + app. It's light years more advanced and the picture quality is infinitely better
