I work in Business Development for an industrial company in Baton Rouge. I am seeking an annual duck lease where I can entertain customers, but I’m not sure of the best way to find one that’s not a hunting club. I just started my search, but I feel like y’all might be able to help too!

Are you looking north or south of the nets?

That's a heck of a job perk, if I ever heard one...

Take them to a nice hotel with escorts and cocaine. Take pictures during the encounter. Bag secured.

Hire a guide service.

This hire a guide service and buy out a package of hunts.

Be very cautious of a crawfish/rice farmer that already doesn’t have committed hunters. Good luck. You’re up against a big task depending on your budget.

Finding worthwhile duck leases in LA is nearly impossible. I wish you the best of luck

Company lease is great if the company is willing to pony up for a camp or houseboat. is willing to own water craft in its name and also has employees to spare for odd jobs at the lease along with help guiding customers. Add those to the yearly cost of the land and you could book 5-6 weekend group hunts At an established place for the next 20 years and not have to lift a finger.
ETA: we had a company deer/duck camp from 96-03 and back then we spent $15k for yearly lease. Built five mud boats, bought the existing camp for $25k and probably spent $600+ a weekend on food, gas and booze even back then. Oh and we had to build a generator barge with 20kw diesel. Now this was a lease you had to get to by boat so that adds extra hassle. We also spent many a weekend keeping ditches clean and building stands.

Haha! I’m well aware, but I’ll take all the luck you’re willing to offer!

Thanks y’all. I’m being told this more often than not… Probably for a reason.

Just take them to Covey Rise or some place like it for a canned hunt.

Realistically, how many hunts do you think you’ll make a season?

Just take the clients to Doug’s in Gueydan

That’s one blind, a very large company was spending close to $200,000 annually 25 years ago on duck entertainment (like shutting hwy 82 down big).New camp they have now is over a mil, gotta have some deep pockets to play that game.
Your best bet is to become an annuity to a lodge and buy hunts.
HR&G, Calcasieu Charters, Louisiana Outfitters, hunt am & fish pm or hit casino.
