And that’s fine. I don’t expect anything other than the party line from any politician anywhere in any interview.

It’s the notion that he can’t be interviewed because Russia is the bad guy that I take issue with

You’re right. It’s better if we take in Putin’s words and intentions as interpreted by responsible media figures such as Joe Scarborough, Sean Hannity, or Joy Reid.
