Student loans are backed by the federal government. So it is political.

People who fill a storage with extra stuff are hoarders. It has nothing to do with their college expenses. Secondly, if they are too poor to buy a house, they are probably too poor to pay for a storage.

Lastly, making a blanket statement that millennials can’t afford houses because they have student loans is asinine. I don’t know a single person my age who doesn’t own a home.
