I noticed this too when I went home to Louisiana this past Christmas. Definitely a trend down there. Haven’t seen that before here in the PNW. I will say that merchant fees have gotten pretty high according to business owners. Sounds like there is some sort of monopoly. However, I usually wont go to places that pass it off to the customer.
