We were single income while my wife home schooled our kids. My youngest is now in college and the wife has begun looking for work. However, having a 20 year hole in your resume is not helping.

I've asked my wife if she thinks she will ever want to work again. Like maybe when the kids are older.
My Mom never had a job in her adult life until my Dad retired and they opened up an antique shop together. They love it. Keeps them busy and connected.
