The enemy of my enemy is my friend?
Newsweek
In a social media post this weekend, Russian lawmaker Sergey Mironov offered to help Texas get independence from the United States:
In a separate X post, a former adviser to Ukraine's minister of internal affairs called out the hypocrisy of Mironov's statement:
The US government, meanwhile, scoffs at such verbal Stroganoff:
Which begs the question …
Obviously a random Russian leader is free to hold whatever opinion he wants; that doesn’t affect anyone.
But would the US continue sending $billions to Ukraine in support of its status as an independent state, yet deny American citizens that same right of self-determination?
Most Texans are simply on the side of freedom.
Nostrovia, y’all.

In a social media post this weekend, Russian lawmaker Sergey Mironov offered to help Texas get independence from the United States:
quote:
On Saturday, Mironov, the leader of faction A Just Russia—For Truth in the Russian legislature, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "In the conflict between Texas and the United States, I am on the side of the state. At least Texas does not interfere in the affairs of other countries. If necessary, we are ready to help with the independence referendum. And of course, we will recognize the People's Republic of Texas if there is one. Good luck! We're with you!"
In a separate X post, a former adviser to Ukraine's minister of internal affairs called out the hypocrisy of Mironov's statement:
quote:
"Says the representative of a country that oppresses its ethnic minorities, calls all independence movements within Russia organized by foreign special services, beats up and jails public activists."
The US government, meanwhile, scoffs at such verbal Stroganoff:
quote:
A U.S. Department of State spokesperson told Newsweek via email on Sunday, "The Kremlin is trying in the most obvious way to concoct a false narrative that will sow division in our country. We hope people see this narrative for what it is—standard Kremlin nonsense."

Screw the corrupt dick piano playing Zelensky.
NOT one more cent to such a corrupt country so more more 10% rebate to the U.S. Puppet president.

I’ve often said that civil war would go very poorly for the Feds.
They’ve created a whole world that hates them, and a porous border that would allow infinite weapons deliveries.
Russia & Iran would have a fricking field day

Remember when Spanish and French kings provided large loans and a ridiculous amount of supplies and contributions to the North American colonies in their quest for independence from Great Britain?
Texas isn’t going to war with anyone; no one wants that—especially not Texans.
But financial backing isn’t an insane proposition.

Texas should just sell its oil and not its soul.

Russia, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and every other nation in the world would kill half their population for a friendly "nation" like an independent Texas.
Vast energy, farming, timber, and mineral resources and hundreds ofikes along the ultimate warm water port.
Most countries can only dream of such physical features.

Let me clarify ….
I don’t for a single second think Russia has any say in what’s happening in Texas.
But the above comment by a Russian lawmaker is illustrative of the reality that the world is watching the US closely right now.
Attempts by fedgov to muzzle its own people—to say nothing of seizing control of a state's National Guard—would not go unnoticed on a global stage.

Obliviously on a much smaller scale but getting the Russians involved usually gives the US government the kick in the pants they need.

I wouldn’t mind Texas having Russia as an ally. At least they have common sense there still.
How scared would you Americans be knowing us Texans have Russia backing us and we’re on your border?

Yes. The Russians definitely want chaos in the US and for us to self destruct. I bet a lot of people on this board will take the bait too.

just what the demcrats want, a russian=texas connection.

Without a doubt.
For years, Texicants have accused any support of Texas independence as being Russian-backed.
That’s absurd.
But this tweet/X post by a Russian politician will certainly add fuel to those Hillary Clinton-esque/‘Russia meddling’ folks.

You say that as if it isn’t a borderline compliment.

Help the rest of us overthrow the criminal Biden regime at the ballot box and convince state legislatures to tighten voting security.

Do you believe Biden should be shot for accepting money from China?
Posted on 1/29/24 at 2:35 pm to EKG
Should Tim Cook, LeBron James or the owners of NBA teams? Is there a Chinaman actively saying he would give money to further sedition. If it is the case then yes. But for merely doing business with them - no
