AFM/DOD Delete - 2014-2019 GM SUVs (*UPDATE - OB post*)

Has anyone here installed a full AFM/DOD delete, not just the electronic disabling of the system? I'll be calling around some local places tomorrow to see if they have any they advise and what brand of kit they'd suggest. I also think I may be able to get a slightly more aggressive cam with the swap since the factory cam can't be used without the AFM/DOD system.
For context and those that don't know, the AFM/DOD is active fuel management / displacement on demand, which is the 4 cylinder mode that GM small block V8s (LSX and LTX motors) utilize to increase fuel mileage for specific states. Needless to say, if not for the state of California, these motors would be far simpler and more reliable but since CA is in the United States, they drag us down.
I'll be buying a used Suburban or Yukon XL in the coming months and this will be the first work I get done. Here's one example but there are plenty out there:

UPDATE: Made a full post on the OB since I didn't know exactly where this fits LINK

As someone who recently had to replace my 2015 Silverado transmission at 100K miles, you may also want to look into bullet proofing a 6L80E transmission while you're at it.
So far, so good on the engine, tranny not so much!

I changed the lifters and installed a range disabler device. delete is much harder and you have to have access to a programmer.

nvm i was linking a Range AFM disabler. you are trying to remove it entirely.

Would be interesting to see if someone could figure how much money this lame technology has cost car owners across all makes since they started implementing it.
Wish I could help more with the question though. My trusty mechanic just says to not mess with a delete and half your oil change interval. Claims extended oil changes are the cause of most failed DOD systems. Something to consider when shopping a used vehicle with higher mileage anyway.
Even still, if I had a vehicle that had it, I'd be looking to get it eliminated.

Look into Brian Tooley Racing (BTR).
They have customizable kits for this and solid products. If you're unsure on what you need, just give them a call. They are extremely helpful.

Total delete is the best way to go but, very costly if you are farming out the work. The cylinder heads and front of engine have to come off.
I would have that function tuned out and change oil regularly.
Now, if you buy a DOD vehicle that has a cam/lifter failure, it makes sense to do the complete delete kit.
Many places have delete kits if you choose to go that way.
Texas speed, Brain Tooley to name a couple.

It is a $4-5k job to upgrade to solid lifters with cam install.
I'm looking into this because my GM 6.2L has valve chatter at startup. DOD is not active but I guess a hydraulic lifters collapsed anyway. Good luck finding a shop that will pull the heads. No normal shop around here will even take the job including local dealerships. To get it done I will have to send my Escalade to the same speed shops that worked on my LS F-bodies 10 years ago, which I find ironic.
