Is this hat really worth it for a thousand dollars?

Not going to say it isn't worth it; that is up to you. I have the El Patron in black and it sure is nice at 30X. Got mine when they were around $400; now they are $600. My advise is go with the Patron for half the price of the Presidente and get a second in silverbelly. I recently picked up a Resistol Midnight (~$300) in navy that is by far my favorite now. It is only 6X but looks great!

Another option if you really want to spend a grand is Lucchese's cowboy hat called, The Alamo. Friend of mine bought one last year and loves it.

That's a lot of money to spend just to let folks know I watched Yellowstone

Depends on what "worth it" means.

My opinion only...if you're going to spend serious coin on a hat, find a top end hat store/maker, buy an open crown hat, and have them build the crown/shape the brim to your exact liking.

I’ve got a Silverbelly patron I wore one time to an event. It’s a great hat. I would let go for $400.
