This is a decent point, but then why did LDWF end the coastal zone on Jan 21? A longer split and 10 days in late Jan would at least maximize what they are allowed to do.

Because based on public input in the past, that's how people want the coastal zone set.

LDWF doesn't just make up those splits--that's based on public input. People wanted more days early, as well as 3 splits.

That's why we went back to 2 zones as well.
