the dreaded "benelli click"
I've had my benelli for 6 years now and have never experienced this, nor have I ever seen it in a really long time of hunting with other people who had them. I think this is made into a way bigger deal than it is.

I tend to agree. I've never had that happen with my 20g. M2 and I've shot the lightest of dove loads to heavy duck loads through it. Maybe once or twice in 12 years with my SBE2, but only when the gun was extremely dirty (not cleaning internals for 2-3 years). I'll break them down after season each year, like you should, and clean thoroughly and never have an issue.

I've seen it at least ten times. It does not happen in normal shooting. It happens 100% when manually loading a shell.

I've shot Benelli for years both 12 and 20. I can count on one hand how many times it has happened with me. I've seen it happen quite a few times and its 100% always from either someone easing the bolt forward when loading it or the bolt sliding back a little from the gun being sat down on the buttpad too hard. The wolff spring solves both these issues. Every single M2 I have ever shot, handled, or shouldered all have a sluggish bolt. The spring upgrade makes the bolt slam home like an old Auto 5. Definitely worth the $12 and 15 minutes it takes to install it
