Wait they really put Abrams in ST? I’m so glad I stopped watching ST after Enterprise.

It was the strong iconic Alpha male who all the women desired role which they don't want to portray women that way anymore.
After all, we don't want a strong Alpha male role model for young boys any more.

I think Abrams was in Discovery. I skipped that series altogether, and Lower Decks.
I've just watch Picard and Strange New Worlds in the last few months.
Picard.. eh, it was okay. The recycling of Jean Luc and Data is pretty worn out. But it was good to see that Seven of Nine is still very doable.
Strange New Worlds was worth the watch, I liked it a lot. And I enjoyed watching it more than any of the other series, including TOS. It was like an homage to TOS with better graphics. The writing was good. Characters good. Even when they got campy and a little silly, it was still good.
Just a good show, check it out.

Thanks for posting. What an interesting read.
I had no idea there was a Cars 3 so this caught my eye: By the company’s own admission, the creative cracks started to appear in its next feature, Cars 3, as they began applying gender-based statistical analytics to story development…
2 things:
1.) I’m far from a pop-culture junkie, but I wondered how a property as big as CARS could have released a 3rd sequel without me being aware of it?
2.) I wonder what sort of woke gobbledygook would result from “gender-based statistical analytics to story development”?
So after a search, the very first hit I clicked on was this:
https://www.dailydot.com/upstream/disney-pixar-cars-3/
And both questions were answered.
I was not surprised to learn that Cars 3 was the weakest performer in the franchise and also had one of Pixar’s worst opening box office returns:
Cars 3 Has One Of PIXAR’s Weakest Opening Weekends….
