Bama had one loss and won the SEC. Any SEC team that accomplished that gets in the playoff.

2012 , Bama didn't win the conference, let alone their division and yet they got to play for National Championship. They loved Saban

Got to ask do you think if Saban retired last year , would FSU get snubbed again this year ???

I believe Saban got preferential treatment .

Alabama got into the championship game in Jan 2012 because most people thought they were the best team in America and EVERYONE thought they were one of the top two. That was the only criteria.

Alabama got to play one less game than LSU and lost at home to LSU, thus should have negated their shot at the title. Saban whined his way to that title.
I still remember that goofy Les Miles saying "It would be an honor to play that team (Bama) again"
Les should have said... "We beat them, who's next."

Alabama always gets preferential treatment, on and off the field. All anyone has to do is replay Bama games and study the penalties and when they are called or not called. Bama has been the darling of the TV world and thereby the SEC, just follow the money. Not saying Bama has not been an elite team, they just seem to get all the breaks on and off the field but especially on the field.
