Now he can't dictate who he gets, it's a level playing field. He's definitely a legend but it did help that he could just keep stacking that roster w 5*

Not sure I would call it a level playing field. Just the factors that heavily influence recruiting have changed with NIL, but the haves will still have. The others will pick up the leftovers. pretty much as it happens now. The number of haves may get even more concentrated, but there can be some shifts as to who are the top dogs.

I am surely no fan of saban, but all this BS about its level playing field is just stupid. It’s not a level playing field. The SEC is going to be harmed by the current rules in the very near future. Most SEC teams do not have the money to compete with East and West Coast schools. They just don’t. The SEC is only hope is that people stick with them because of how good they typically are but it won’t be about money outside of Texas.

Everybody could just stack their rosters with five stars. Why didn’t they? Saban did it - at LSU then at Bama. He had no advantage over two dozen other coaches except one - he was better than them.
