Shots fired... This isn't from Jos, this is directly out of Max's mouth.
Toto should be on the phone with Marko asap.

If true, I'll bet what happened is that Red Bull did their investigation and found Horner clean enough, Helmut and ol'girl didn't like it and released those leaks together, Red Bull traced it back to them and suspended them both for actions detrimental, and now Helmut's quitting before they can fire him.

No clue what that says... and Reddit is a cesspool.

Might be a stupid question, but is there any chance Horner would take Max outta the car for the rest of the season? If he knows hes losing him at the end of the season anyway, why let him win another championship in your car. Put Lawson in there now and see how him and Checo do this season.
Would the threat of essentially losing a year of his career in his prime and not being able to defend his championship be enough to get Max to shut this down until the season is over?

Max better think about one thing he is driving the best car. Yes he is very good but he is not champ driving the Mercedes car right now.

While true, it remains a great spot for f1 news aggregation

With regards to the latest Red Bull/Helmut Marko story I asked Max Verstappen post qualifying “so you need him (Helmut) to stay for you to stay?” He replied “I’ve always said that to the team, they know that”

Why the hell would you pull the driver out that is going to win the you points and constructors.
I guarantee Horner gets a nice payday if they win the constructors.

Exactly. I would let him know that his contract will be honored and he will be payed thru the rest of the season, but if he doesn't shut these distractions down he will no longer be needed at the track and his seat will be given to someone/anyone else. Max seems to love racing and the threat of being away from it for an extended amount of time might wake him up.

They have the best car and its early enough in the season that they could still win.

Have the best car, yet did you see how bad checo underperformed Max last year? And thats with 2yrs in the car.
So you put a less prepared person into Max's seat and Checo is going to carry the team? I think not.
Ferrari will eat their lunch

Mates, out of the 24 races, how many will Max Verstappen lead from wire to wire?

If Redbull doesn't implode mid-season and things are as they are now, I'd guess 18 of his 20 wins will be wire to wire.

helmut is over 80. not sure how longer max expected him to keep going. and the dude has always been a loud mouth with the press.
ferrari should be looking exit clauses on that hamilton contact.

RB is in a precarious position... Who is more important to the success of the team, Max or Horner? Both short and long term.
Short term, its def Max until new Regs
Longterm it may be Horner, but RB will do fine with a good driver after, thanks to Newey.
If Marko is gone, Max can void his contract and go elsewhere, likely Mercedes. Will we see drama here in the short term?
Marko out, Max announces breaking contract at end of 2024 season, he and Newey both go to Merc?
