ferrari should be looking exit clauses on that hamilton contact.

Would be hilarious... however, I think RB would sweep in for Hamilton, who would likely win his 8th next season.

I don't want that

its almost Ferrari like how they are all stepping on their dicks at once. I always joke about the F1 paddock being a kindergarten but RB has turned into hockey helmeted toddlers diving into a sandbox and fighting over cat turds

There is an agreement between Mercedes and James Vowles in the event that Verstappen should join Mercedes.

Kimi Antonelli would then drive for Williams for the time being.

Mercedes is doing everything it can to be prepared should the opportunity arise.

Can you imagine the chaos of a grid with Max at Merc and Lewis at RB?

In other news, Hulk's car had a fuel pump fail. No engine change.

Now back to the Red Bull soap opera.

No link was included with this. Apparently a translation;

Reporter: "We just received rumours/news from Austria that you may be soon suspended, possibly already on monday, what can you tell us about this?

Marko: "well, there are so many rumours....well, I actually don't want to say anything about this"

Reporter: "But how are you seeing this? Do you think you will be next week still in charge or is it possible that we will not see you again in this position?"

Marko: "Well, there are so many speculations and the likes going around....and I have a meeting tomorrow and then we will see, but as I said everything must be right for me to....WANT....to continue working (note: he emphasized the "want" and it was the last word of the sentence in German)"

Reporter: "So it also depends on yourself? You could say: 'alright, that's enough now. It's no fun anymore what is happening at Red Bull currently'?"

Marko: "Yes, it's mutual"

Reporter: "and if you can tell us that, who will you be talking tomorrow with, for our audience this situation is so confusing?"

Marko: "Well, for me, my superior is Oliver Mintzlaff"

Remember last week Racy Spice was hanging with the Thai owner of Red Bull.

yeah that's what I'm thinking. Dietrich just died at 78, and he was a billionaire (meaning should have access to best possible care)

If Helmut dies, Max is going to retire?

There was a regulation change after 2021 that brought about the cost cap and the 2022-2025 regs have a heavy focus on aerodynamics. Red Bull has Adrian Newey who is the best at aero.

Yeah, that makes sense. My attention to F1 kinda faded right before the cost cap was put in place. I remember it being talked about at the time, but I guess I didn't think it would have as big an effect as it's had. Because like I said previously, Mercedes was dominating and Red Bull and Ferrari were battling it out for P2 seemingly every race (if Bottas had a good weekend, they were battling for P3) and every year in constructors. The gap just seemed insurmountable back then.

It's just kinda crazy to see that RB has not only closed that gap, but put a wide gulf behind them to P2 in a few short years. It's also crazy, more sad for me as a fan, to see Ferrari struggle as hard as they have. Their insane struggles played a part in me losing interest in the sport like I used to have. I mean, they used to be the standard and haven't won a CC in what, 15 years or more?

All I know is DTS had better be getting some good footage of this Red Bull situation for DTS season 7.

The main question is: Will this contrived drama result in more viewers? Last weeks ratings were down year over year so they needed to Spicey it up.
