NELA, particularly the islands, is close to if not better in terms of deer.

I'm a coonass in Fayetteville for past 30 plus years. I love the scenery, waterways, fly fishing, the Greenway, dove hunting , deer hunting, and duck hunting. All this hunting and fishing is really close (sometimes in my yard)., I love watching the Tigers come up and play in my town. The public and private schools are all excellent up here. Very little crime.

Food has gotten better over the years but it pales in comparison to south Louisiana. So if you are going to live here bring your culinary skills and always keep the sausage, tasso, ponce, grattons pipeline open.
