The problem I have is this. I’m an upper middle class LSU fan - I don’t want to spend my hard earned money to pay kids more money than I make in my yearly salary to come to LSU. “NIL” is a joke.. we are not paying for name, image or likeness.. this is purely pay to play

Who in those super collective are accomplishing that?

Nobody. But if LSU had a ton of additional $$$ they might be able to land more than just the 3 that were mentioned. I think more is better in this case. Maybe.

Who is running this? Where are my funds going? How long until they are dispersed? Do I have the ability to disperse on demand and cut out the middle man?

Good God, man. How many times over the years has the same school landed the #1 QB, RB, and WR in the same class? Not many. And that's still not enough for you people.

I personally don’t want to fill my team with a bunch of guys only looking for the highest bidder. No matter how much money we have someone is always willing to pay more.

Pay them what they’re worth. Recruit the shite out of them and let the chips fall where they may.

When a highest bidder team actually wins a championship maybe I’ll change my mind but until then I think the evidence backs me

Does the casual LSU fan even know Bayou Traditions exist? I feel like the marketing for it has been lackluster for it in the state/out of state alumni bases. Spread that shite to the BR, NOLA, Houston, Lower gulf coast, etc markets.
Maybe even Moscona can promote it on his radio show to 5 o clock traffickers instead of spamming HUDCO roofing.

Now you are getting it. There are other positions to fill you know. Why not try to fill with the best? I didn't know 3 was the max we were allowed.

The problem is that NIL and buyouts for LSU usually come from the same people and they get tired of spending for buyouts.

Well, if you believe Moscona, they weren’t going to until they saw how players responded to him after the game. BK asked mid season and was denied. I believe House’s buyout was most of the buyouts.

Lsu just got a commit from the #1 qb, wr and rb of the 2025 class. They aren’t coming for free. I’m tired of hearing that LSU is broke when the evidence proves otherwise.

And that’s great but it’s only part of the picture

We have been good at paying for playmakers but fall short on the supporting cast like OL and DL. Other programs like Texas is paying for playmakers AND supporting cast. Their OL players get minimum 50k a year.

This is a good point. There’s fatigue from donors who are hit up from various groups who need support

Taf - pays buyouts and supports the athletic program - not players)
Bayou traditions- pays the players.
The school- wants money for education

And consider that there is still demand to pay players under the table tax free.

Does anyone really think that just because NIL allows for players to be paid that illegal dark money has stopped? Huh. Not hardly
