60 years ago today the LBJ made the country worse and spent all future money.

Effect: The Great Inflation

quote:

In 1964, inflation measured a little more than 1 percent per year. It had been in this vicinity over the preceding six years. Inflation began ratcheting upward in the mid-1960s and reached more than 14 percent in 1980.

Imagine how elite this country would be if this, the “War on Drugs,” and women’s suffrage weren’t a thing.

LBJ’s War on Poverty and Great Society was the beginning of reparations for black folk. Reparations have been paid for 60 years, by reverse discrimination policies such as affirmative action (employment), set asides (business), race norms (college entrance) etc.  Lift, not gift. Yet, blacks are still lagging behind because they have been programmed by Democrats to be victimized, dependent and entitled. Drugs, out of wedlock birth rate and high school dropout rate are the real reasons for failure and are all self inflicted. Where's the racism when so many Black immigrants succeed?
The reason for the black population failure is self-inflicted.

It's impossible to reduce poverty if we constantly redefine where poverty starts. You can reduce income inequality. It's called Communism.

The Great Society legislation is being proven EVERY DAY to be the most devastating single law to ever be passed in America. It single handedly has destroyed African-American culture in this country and has caused an enormous numbers of one parent families, and people completely dependent on government subsidies. Hell! ..not to mention the terrible crime and incarceration rates among blacks.
And, to me, the worst part of the entire thing was that Johnson knew what he was doing, but cared more about the black vote!
