I suspect Sloan gets the job officially on Monday. BK was waiting for him to come through with Bryce, but doesn't want that to look obvious.

I guess that he could want to have a few interviews following Monday's NFL roulette wheel, including Hankton and Sloan. That gives them a chance to present their case and let's him vet some outside candidates. Seems pretty reasonable.
