Need to rebuild my bulkhead on the coast. Old damage frozen Zeta, tie backs are failing.

I’ve decided in sheet piles.

My big question is can I do the job without a floating barge? I can’t find any documentation online with anyone doing a rebuild without a barge. There must be a way, these companies are way out of my price range.

Have all the machines, equipment and vibrator.

Anyone with experience or input TIA!

are you asking whether or not you can do it from the bank?

You absolutely can. I’m assuming you’re talking about vinyl bulkhead. The machine and vibrator are the main things. Your pilings go in then the whalers are put up. Then the vinyl is vibrated then you come back and drill and install your deadmen with drag boards. 2.5 is a must and I recommend wrapping all pilings and they make a vinyl wrapped whaler now that I would absolutely use.

Hey C, correct. Asking if I can do it from the bank opposed to renting a barge.

All the information I’ve found out there had the tie back rods being driven from the water approach side. I want to know if anyone knows how I’d do that from the bank without a barge

Only thing I could possibly add to this spot on post, jet and hammer for setting the poles/pilings.

Two helpers and some hip boots and you’re set!

Also not sure where you are located on the coast, but if in Mississippi absolutely do not do it without a permit from dmr. The fine and bs is not worth it. Don’t ask me how I know….

Haha! In pass Christian. Yes, started the permit process. I’m hoping as the homeowner they will allow me to do it myself.

I’m going to document the process to help anyone else interested in taking on a project like this. Now to figure out how to post pictures…

This should give you a good detail of the process here.

Fantastic! Yes, I’ll probably doctor this drawing up and suit it to my area. That’s awesome LetzG! Thanks
