Anybody else's TCL TV's suddenly choking to death on Netflix, HBO, or other 4k/Dolby Atmos/etc content?
It started just before Christmas but the older TVs are damn near useless as of today..
Planned obsolescence or deficient hardware?

Press the Home button on your Roku Remote 5 times.
Now, press the Up button twice.
Next, the Rewind button should be pressed twice.
And finally, the fast Forward button should be pressed twice.
These button combinations will now freeze your Roku TV, turn the screen black and then restart itself right away.

Not a roku tv, but we have one firetv in the kids room and its been damn near unusable since we bought it. I just plugged a external firetv in it and use it that way.

I've got four TLC TVs about four years old scattered throughout the house and patio and have not been experiencing any problems.

Possibly. Is your modem and/or router going bad?
What internet download speeds are you getting at your house?
