I’m not a coin guy. I’m more of a slot guy. I love a nice slot.

Because 100lbs of silver is only worth about 35Gs..

If you have a 1913 V Nickel it’s worthless, I’ll give you a couple of bucks for it.

You know, I'm something of a collector myself.

Sorry I'm a car guy. You can't go broke buying 2nd gen chargers if you collect other stuff.

I inherited my grandfather's collection that he inherited from his uncles and added to over the years. There was a local coin shop that did appraisals for a flat rate or they waived the fee if they chose to buy part of the collection. It ended up appraising for about $30K give or take. This is about ten years ago and I think the flat fee was around $500, but it was a big collection.
It's sitting in the safe now collecting dust.

Damn, the 1933 Double Eagle sold for $19MM recently?
That's insane.

Old silver coinage that doesn’t have numismatic value (aka Junk or Constitutional silver) retails for just under 20 times face value.

<——Coin collector and have done appraisals but I’m not serious.
I know a mortician who is that.
I did a coin collection appraisal last week.
Friends of a friend for an estate, no charge from me, no warranty e or i.
Negotiate a flat fee beforehand on an appraisal. Expect to have a couple of people on your side commit to spend several (if not more) hours with the appraiser.

Tracking. I have a nice collection my grandfather spent years collecting and organizing. Not looking so much for auction but it’d be awesome to know what his hard translates to today
