Miles is not on the hot seat for 2009. 2010? ... possibly if things don't get better next season. Nonetheless, he is definitely not on the hot seat for 2009, nor should he be.

We would literally have to go 3-9 or worse for miles to lose his job next year

There's 7 automatic wins right there (given what Miles has already built at LSU relative to those programs). We will do better next year than this season. And out of Georgia, Bama, Ole Miss, Florida and Arkansas, we won't lose to all five two years in a row. We'll win 9 games next year, minimum.

My super early 2009 prediction is 10-2, probable SEC Championship game appearance for LSU depending upon how Ole Miss' season plays out. Unfortunately, Ole Miss does have a very favorable SEC East schedule in 2009, so they may end up winning the tie-breaker if they knock us off in Oxford.

Miles is not sitting on any kind of hot seat. ANd if he is, SHAME on LSU. A coach one year removed from a SEC & National Championship who had to dismiss his highly touted starting QB b/c he was an idiot & deal with the only options he had left, a Harvard transfer & 2 GREEN freshmen should NOT be anywhere NEAR a hot seat. Now, a DC won't hurt but come on guys, it's not like we went 0-12.

8-4 you mean. We need to be in the SECG next year to make up for this season.
Otherwise not worth recruiting and not worth calling our team a "DAMN STRONG FOOTBALL TEAM". No more frickin' cloase games.

It would take a disaster next season for LSU to fire Miles. However, he will be under a lot of scrutiny, and rightfully so. Seasons like LSU had this year are not acceptable any more. He makes far too much money and LSU recruits way too well.

Winning close games has been a trademark of championship teams this decade. Just sayin.

With the talent level we have we don't need to play close games. Lack of discipline and coaching errors cost us some games in Miles era.
Very few complete games and that is sickining

People fail to realize that the team on the other side of the ball is trying to play a "complete game" as well. Football is a zero-sum game.

if we were to go 7-5 again next year he should be gone.

back to back 7-5 seasons are not acceptable with our talent.

further more if he didn't fire these assclown dcs than he should defiantly be gone if we were to tank again next season.

imo though he changes dc's so pressure is off of next year

I agree.

I disagree, although the pressure would then definitely be on for 2010.

I agree with tigerat, look at the talent we had this year. Look at how many made all SEC, it's
like the SEC coach's were sending a message.

Great talent poor coaching. We won last year despite miles not because of him.

We should have been undefeated last year.
If you saw the sec ch game you saw an ALa team that was extremely well coached!

I don't think any reasonable person thinks that we are not going to have a new DC soon. It's obvious to all, especially Les Miles, that changes have to be made. Damn.

yea i agree new dc's are coming. he is keeping them for the bowl bc they are his drinking buddies and they get a bonus. I hate the move though that they get to coach the bowl

You have got to be kidding. LSU hangs 50+ on them and washington may not score 14 LSU never looks back even if LSU shows up with no DC's
