Wilkinson cnty/west fel line
28° barely an east wind
230 acres to myself today in a box on a plot now
.3006
Buck outside his ears with a doe in the pasture land on the neighboring property on the walk in. Sat waiting on them to cross the fence, couldn’t get a shot. Hopped in the closest stand to the action. Neighbor was on his porch drinking coffee watching the whole thing when I walked down the road.

Leake County, MS
28*, zero wind
270 Winchester
Way too much moonlight, daytime activity nil. Forgot this stand faces directly into the sunrise. And Mr. Buddy wasn’t my buddy, pilot lit, heater wouldn’t.
I’d been saving a tent blind on a newly cut road deep in the woods all season, put my youngest in there yesterday evening and he whacked a nice doe. So it’s been a good week, even with very few sightings. Back to BR tonight, so this morning we aren’t being picky.
Good luck gang!

Yancey
30 and calm
28 nosler
Last day of bucks only rifle. Saw a good bit of deer yesterday morning, most were smaller bucks chasing does. Moved a little closer to where I saw the majority of them. As I was typing this a Buck came by moving fast and pretty far. Couldn’t tell what he was but at least they’re on their feet.

Good luck to all of you and Happy New Year. I'm sitting in the camp drinking coffee and waiting for everyone else to wake up. Drank a lot of bourbon last night and no one hunted this morning.

Home today after sitting all day yesterday and seeing nothing. I gotta figure out what these deer do post rut. I know where to be early November, but in 4 years I've shot 6 before Thanksgiving and seen others I haven't shot, I've only had 1 shot at a deer late December early January. I'm trying different spots, just haven't found one that works.

Smithdale, Ms
Millenium tree seat on the ground overlooking a creek crossing . I’m about 100 yards into the woods where the deer usually enter a big field . Hoping the big 6 we have on camera is still back here.

Nah man, we banned 2-digit years in the late 90s. Y2K was just too scary.

Last sit of the Area 7 gun season. Tough conditions and I don't expect any of the 3 of us hunting to see anything...but can't sit home on the last evening and mope. Good luck and stay safe

Nothing was hurt except someone’s pride. And a sound bar in the roof.
We’re gonna do it all again tomorrow
