Tommy White left a program that had been to Omaha more recently than LSU and got a fat bag of cash in the process.
Totally irrelevant. LSU is several tiers above NC State in baseball and no one would question a player going to LSU from a place like NC State.

His playing time excuse was even flimsier than Heards.
Comparing a freshman in college baseball to a freshman OL in football is apples to oranges. If Heard had no chance to play at LSU next year, his and your argument might have a shred of legitimacy. You both look like fools for thinking this.

Need to clarify this: Truman State does not offer scholarships for football. Source

Truman State University does offer athletic scholarships for Football. Need-based and academic scholarships are available for student-athletes.
He did 2 years there non-scholarship and transferred to Mizzou as a walk on. He didn't get a scholarship until Jan of this year.

Apples and oranges are like you and CP3LSU, a couple of round fruits.
No matter how much mental gymnastics you do, the situation is the same. Just don’t be a hypocrite and you won’t have to keep making things up to tell us why this time it’s different.

You seem awfully angry for someone not burdened with the capacity for thought

one of them was willing to give up a career at East Bubblefrick State to try and play at Missouri and the other one is wondering if he should ride the bench till he is a junior.

Heard wants to play LT. He even said so while he was interviewed in high school. "I'm going to be the LT at LSU". That position appears to be locked up tight. So he doesn't want to switch positions to get on the field. A better analogy than those presented would be someone who transferred bc they didn't want to switch from S to say a nickel, or maybe even a LB not wanting to play the jack. I can't recall anyone like that. Can't think of someone who wasn't on the field, had a chance to get on the field if they did what the coaches asked and played a slightly different position, so they left. Marcel Brooks transferred in 2020 when he was asked to move to LB from S but he was on the field plenty in 2019. Maybe there's someone I'm not thinking of but I can't remember a player that wasn't getting on the field, had an opportunity to get on the field, but would rather play for another team than make the switch.

You might as well give it up with projectP because he’s not going to change his horribly wrong opinionated mind regardless of how much sense y’all are making.

I think it has more to do with
1) a guy who had limited options out of high school and took what he could get and has earned his way up the ladder to where he is now
Vs
2) a guy who could have gone anywhere, made his choice, hasn’t done much yet, and wants more or will take his toys and leave.
Pretty distinct differences.

What’s the issue with Heard doing the same thing if he feels like it?
Of course, you're right but you'll get downvoted for it.

Give me 2 years and playing time, Alex! Lol, it’s really not that hard to see. Campbell is great, and has another year at that LT position. Heard, needs time on the seat, to show that he’s good or better, for his long term employment opportunities. He deserves every right to move on to a place that gives him an opportunity to do so. $ is the byproduct these days. Not worth complaining about honestly.

The situation is literally not the same. I spelled it out for you earlier in the thread, but you've made up your mind to disagree no matter what

Lol, this is what's wrong with people today. No one forced Heard to sign with LSU even though he knew Campbell would likely be the LT for three years. He should have signed with Kentucky or Arkansas if he wanted that spot handed to him. He has the right to leave and everyone has the right to criticize his foolish decision.

Heard and ProjectP are what’s wrong with today’s generation and college football. Soft entitled quitting pussies.

You’re a pussy who melts (and got banned for like 2 months) over women’s basketball
Posted on 12/30/23 at 10:08 am to ProjectP2294
Ok, the difference is Heard is taking time to “analyze “ his position here….or grift a large payday out of the school. If the opportunity is better in his opinion just leave.
