I think you read more into the comment than he said.
He's right. Vivek ran the campaign that Desantis should have. It wasn't in opposition to Trump. It was aligned with him.
It may not have been successful. It hasn't been for Vivek. But, I think that strategy was Desantis' only hope.

You think a billionaire would take a cabinet position? Honest question. I sure wouldn’t. Lol. I think he’s the backup plan if they somehow make Trump ineligible. Otherwise, it’s VP or 2028 for him.

Good luck getting anything rational out of him. He’s as unhinged as a San Francisco leftist

Those would be “Trump’s base,” which whether or not one chooses to acknowledge it, that’s a significant cross section of the right…..it’s a number of people significant enough to make or break a Republican primary run.

quote:This is stupid. Ignoring the possibility of winning, there are two possible outcomes of 2024:
Running in 24 instead of 28
Trump wins:
servers through 2028, Historically, rarely do we see back-to-back parties win the presidency. GHWB was the last to do it, and he followed one of hte most popular presidents in US history. Trump will have no such coat-tails (he didn't in 2020), so 2028 is almost certainly a Democrat win. Then what? Given American's recent preference for two-term presidents, he's not viable until 2036.
Biden wins:
Serves until 2028, and likely flip to Republican favor. He enters the race with better name recognition and the hangover of "shouldn't have voted for Trump last time"--outside of the foot fetish people.

You just don't like that I remind you of your support of Stacey Abrams. Politically, we are probably in agreement on 95% of everything. The biggest differences between us is my skepticism of a man you idolize and your penchant for voting for the more liberal candidate at times - to the point of actually supporting a Leftist like Stacey.

Why do you talk about others idolizing Don when you do the same with Ron?

Exactly. I think once Trump got intel of Team Ron's attack plan on him (which was executed well before Ron's announcement), he went on the attack. Maybe Ron was advised this was the best approach - that it would weaken Trump and then lawfare would finish him off in 24. Huge mistake. He also is incapable of running a national campaign.

Haley is worse than Biden. She discredits conservatives if she wins. She's not one but she will always be credited as one as a GOP nominee.
