Can you season your oil too when you fry a turkey?

This is my last use for this oil.
I’ve used it a few times and frankly, it’s already seasoned.
I’ve injected the bird.
But can you salt and season the frying oil?

You could infuse the oil with herbs, spices, and aromatics but I don't think you'll notice a discernable enough difference. To me it's a waste of time and resources.

Coconut shrimp ruins frying oil IMHO. That's what I would do before I tossed it.

I would think just about anything used to season the oil would burn and get bitter tasting long before you were done cooking whatever it is you plan to cook.

I fry bacon in the oil before frying the turkey every year.

yes you could, but its not like when you boil stuff, so i doubt it adds much flavor by seasoning the oil.
