There's a lot of children getting blownt up and that's something I'd like more effort to be taken to avoid whether its in Gaza, Israel, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine, Russia, China, etc.
Yes, Oct 7th was unacceptable and there's basically no real solution to the problem, but its not a license to just do whatever you want, or at least it wouldn't be if it were any other Western democracy.
Blind obedience to Israel is bizarre from people that are constantly getting played by them. Unless of course you're happy with Biden's cabinet, Epstein, Blackrock, NBC, Disney, NY Times, Pfizer, Zelensky, Trump judges, Guiliani Judge, etc. I guess they're just that crafty.

Has Israel ever said that they would stop if Hamas surrendered and returned all the hostages?
Honest question, because it seems like the game plan here is to make things so bad that the international community takes them as refugees.

If you consider the population density of Gaza and have paid any attention to the level of destruction 20k casualties is completely believable.
Given Hamas has penchant for using human shields and the amount of ordinance the IDF has brought to bear on that relatively small area 20k does not seem unusually high. When you consider how Hamas has morphed since being voted into power it amplifies the tragic loss of civilian life however it is a tragedy of their own making even if everyone didn't make the choice and many more thought they were making a different choice. If you put a country and a people into an existential crisis you can't expect a kinder gentler ROE especially when the terrorists stand behind you.

I think it's more than 20K, everyone has been saying the death toll in Gaza is expected to rise significantly when Palestinians are able to dig out of the vast destruction. There are entire city blocks in the north that have been leveled. Israel is claiming that they have killed over 8K Hamas fighters alone.
