Fantasy sports have ruined team fandom.

In the semis of both my leagues and have Kyren and Kupp going tonight.
I would never embarrass myself starting a thread like this though. This is a thread for little girls.

Not fantasy but I’ve got money on most players playing tonight so I’m all for high scoring
but hoping for a saints win

This is stupid. Fantasy doesn't matter. This is Saints talk.
Taylor and Adebo are gonna shut down Pacua.
Now if Kyren falls in the endzone...
Times...well that just means Carr should have scored more

I'll take a good Saints year over fantasy every time
But in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and every year since Drew retired fantasy has kept me slightly checked into football

I agree but I think most are not like you or I would be and I think that it impacts younger fans in a way that sort of saps the thing that first gets you pulled into serious fandom. And that is where I feel it impacts the fans, the newer and upcoming generations.

That's not entirely on the generation...that's also on the family
For me personally getting into LSU football was easy my family has that in their blood
That was passed on
My love for the Saints was acquired as an individual
My family was big time Aint believers growing up but I love the underdog, I love the team gave up upon but also I liked what the Saints where doing...not Hiring Ditka not trading a draft for a RB, the rest...building a damn good DL...pissed it was only together for that one season. I loved La Roi. I liked parts of the D in general...I'll always be a Sammy Knight fan. Just IQ limited physical NFL ability but at safety that goes a long way especially back then.
The OL had bookend tackles something we haven't seen since Armstead and Ram...but Roaf and Turley are arguably better. Ram is the best RT I have ever seen in his prime...but Roaf might be the best OL I have ever seen.
My point being the way LSU love is passed is infectious and effective.
I grew up to be a Saint fan inspite of backlash from family or peers just a genuine love for the team and some of the players.
I think Saints love needs to be passed the same way LSU is. I like fantasy. But true Fandom is special. I have had almost 14 years to process that superbowl...and still can't in terms of what it meant.
I hate U2 in general but that one concert moved me to literal waterflowing tears
The rise and fall is part of the process.
What bandwagoners or in your example fantasy guys don't get is immediate gratification is the one night stand. Sure it's great especially if you pulled 9 a better
But it's over. That's all it was.
Being a fan a true fan...it's all the highs and lows...it's real love
