I would dispute that claim

Well, then you wouldn't know what you're talking about. I don't have to hire anyone I don't want to.

No.

There you go, get off the government tit, and problem solved.

I am in the TV business. Too many interactions to count, starting in the late 80s.

Yep.

which is the way it should be.

You've just pointed out that that's actually the way it is.

But it is.

Not my problem. Maybe a problem for the one who wants government money. But that's not me. I don't want government money.

False. Certain minorities don't want to work. Some are grinders.

We have a DEI supervisor that has been coming to meetings for well over a year and always states he has nothing to add after every meeting.

Thankfully there doesn't appear to be much of that in my industry but I've seen it with some of our clients

I thought Lloyd Austin was just a diversity hire as Sect of Defense. But yesterday I watched his interview. Question was: 'What are you going to do about the Houthis from Yemen attacking merchant ships?'
He said: 'They must cease and desist.'

He told them to stop being bad. Brilliant!

Some years ago here, we had just bought the Pepsi franchise for the country and the HR VP sent a template down for our local HR person to fill out.

It had several charts listing employees, managers, supervisors in various departments with minorities in numbers to be filled out.

Trinidad is very unique in the Caribbean, about 40% black, 40% east indian and then a mix of all sorts of races.

So the first overview slide the HR guy lists total minority as 1 and the VP of HR says "this isnt right, you misunderstood the chart, Ive walked the facility there are well over a 100 minorities. The HR guy looks at me and said "Trini is the only minority, he is the only white guy who works here".

At that moment I saw the black/hispanic female HR VP blush....even she realized at that point how racist the entire exercise was.

Larry Elder tells a story about a friend of his in a Chicago law firm that told him they have to double/triple check all the work done by their diversity hires.

Which, in essence, means that the DEI hire submits a rough draft of a legal brief and then the "boss" must go ahead and finish the brief for the DEI hire.

Yes, that's the point, folks. Why is this idea so hard for people to understand?

Stop whining and get the hell to work . . . and smile if you're smart because they guy whose work you're doing has a good chance to be your boss around here one day.

Wrong. They are infiltrators and are a cancer. They become stronger and gobble up more and more institutions.

They continue to grow because weak men that would normally oppose them do not. You have to stand up to them at the very beginning of the process. Once they get DEI hires its over.

What needs to happen is the first moment a woke person demands to know the racial makeup of your leadershp, your workforce, or a board or committee you SHUT IT DOWN right then. you respond by saying you dont use race as a factor when hiring or appointing. You start demanding that DEI departments get eliminated and you actually do it.

You demand that the government stop tracking our races.

My experience tells me that the higher-ups may not even be aware of the havoc these hires create at the lower levels - or don't care to know. Reporting their incompetence by peers to upper management is akin to killing an endangered species, thereby giving them a perpetual pass for corrupting an otherwise efficient system.

Yes... INCOMPETENCE is the operative word.
