Florida State did again to this defense

Make no mistake, FSU CRUSHED the offense. They were the best defensive team LSU played all season. That was on the offense as much as defense.
The defense hung in there for 3 quarters down 24-17.
The offense went 4 straight possessions and didn’t do a thing. The last min TD was really garbage.

FSU completely dominated the LSU offense in the second half of that game.

FSU was a good defense, but I say more than them being the best defense we faced it was our offense not being what they would become yet later in the season. It was the first game and they had not gotten all the kinks out yet. Also don’t forget Logan diggs didn’t play a snap in that gam eitr.

A grand total of 35 less total yards. 0.3 less yards per play(in fact if you take our yards per play and extrapolated for the entire season it’d be ranked 3rd in the country.)13 less passing yards.

The only thing the offense lacked was 3rd down efficiency. FSU’s efficiency was crazy high making the time of possession lopsided which is on the defense. In conclusion, you are wrong.

This was more the fault of LSU having only 1 running play. If LSU knew had to do more than run the same play in 2 directions they would’ve put the game out of reach in the first quarter.

I like rewatching games just watched the FSU game again. Do not agree with you. The FSU offense stopped making mistakes in 2nd half. Their offense was much better than our D in 2nd half. That is why they won. Our offense played decent but was plagued by mistakes and dropped passes in both halves. Our defense was bad the whole game, but the FSU offense had numerous drops and penalties in 1rst half that kept them from scoring. They racked up points once they stopping shooting themselves in the foot.

I rewatched the game because several posters kept commenting that JD5 didn't play a good game. This is false. He played great. WR and TE drops, slips, penalties and OL missed assignments hurt us the whole game. Daniels had well over 300 yards passing and a good day running it as well.
