They’ve avoided investing in the Camaro to design cars like the Bolt.

Kind of a tragedy IMO. The Camaro SS is a fantastic vehicle with an excellent chassis. It’s so far beyond what a muscle car typically is. It actually handles.

I guess these means the CT4-V Blackwing is also gone. That was the sports sedan that outperformed the modern BMW’s. They did all these great things then followed it all up with electric models that people aren’t yet ready to buy.

Not saying their electric vehicles are bad. They are actually quite good. The problem is that they’ve misread the market and bought into the media hype around electric cars, then hoped that the anti-Musk propaganda would lead more EV buyers into buying from legacy automakers. That hasn’t really happened.

A lot of the problem IMHO is that customers don’t WANT a full EV right now and are hesitant to buy a hybrid.

I had to buy a new car in the past year and I actually went below the level of trim I would have normally gone for because I wanted ICE only, no hybrid no EV.

In my specific case, my travel patterns are such that I really can’t do EVs, as I have to make custody exchanges and drive to the other end of the state to take care of relatives.

Time is already a premium so I don’t have time to dick around with trying to find a charging station in speed trap country like Sicily Island and Wisner.

I own one of those, ‘22 model with about 10k miles.

But I’m about to trade it in for something that’s not a race car. I can’t drive it slow and it’s going to get me in trouble. Plus my reflexes aren’t what they used to be.

But a badass ride…….

The lack of electrical grid infrastructure is what keeps a lot people from buying. People dont want to worry about having a car that they cant drive because there isnt enough power to charge it.

We already have power shortages in areas when temps are high or low. Who wants to depend on something that might leave them stranded.

Hybrids are the way to go. Best of both worlds.

Not hard to outperform a modern bmw when most of them are lame-arse minivans that could pass for a Chevy Equinox with a bmw badge and leather seats.

Why the hell would you end the Camaro. You cant drive 5 feet and not see one. Be like Jeep getting rid of the Wrangler.

Some people are just that dumb, I guess.
