I wouldn’t be so sure of this. Seems like nowadays a good 10-20% of kids are gay. I graduated high school less than 10 years ago and it was like 5% at the absolute max, probably more like 2-3%.

It’s because being gay has become more trendy and acceptable

Gay rates have barely moved up, it's a lot of people claiming to be bi.
