Props to you for being open minded! Not many people have the balls to respond like you just did.

If people were more interested in the exchange of ideas than shitposting and insulting each other, this thread could have been a lot shorter, but far less entertaining, I admit.

I don't think I've read any of his other posts or I don't remember if I have, but if what you say is true, then I will try to change his mind on the subject or maybe I will change my own. The point is that he seems willing to debate, listen, and even change his mind and that's pretty rare. If I can help someone break free of the progressive Matrix, I will.

Again,

Here's some classics just from this thread of the supposedly open minded person

quote:

And unless super-size me was wrong, McDonald's doesn't have to increase their food prices exorbitantly to meet this raise, they're just greedy fricks at the top that don't want to sacrifice, but hey, most of you guys are ok with that.

quote:

What's mind boggling is the math doesn't fit your agenda so you pout media slang from your boys over at fox News.

quote:

It's almost as if, wait for it, McDonalds, like several other large businesses, is using inflation as an excuse to price gouge the ever loving frick out of the consumer.

quote:

Please tell me you don't think any company is using inflation as an excuse to price gouge. I need to read it. Would make my day.

quote:

Ah so your with the Charlie Kirk's and Ben Shapiros and Steven crowders? Even better!

quote:

I am totally shocked that this thread has turned into a conservative circle jerk while they continue to get fricked in the arse by these corporations just like everyone else.

I bet the next thing yall will say is corporations don't control inflation lol

Look at all this nonsense from he first few pages of thsi thread . There's no desire to learn here. He just got smacked around in this thread so bad that after several pages of being a complete moron, he's trying to act like he's been nothing but reasonable and just looking to learn. Don't fall for it.

All true. This is all that matters to me, though:

Thanks for the education. I appreciate it, my opinion has changed, and again, I do apologize for how I argued earlier.

Take the win, man. It doesn't happen very often around here.

Watch that poster long enough, you'll understand he means none of that.

This thread has been a good example of what's going on in this country right now. Progressives base their decisions and opinions on feelings. And those feelings are based on hyperbole or one completely out of context statistic. Virtually every position they are most passionate about falls apart or contradicts other positions when you pull it out of the land of hyperbole and into the land of context and reality.

As I was saying earlier, those in power want this country as dumb as they can get them. Of course it will destroy the greatest country that's ever existed, but they don't care. Intelligence is the enemy of marxism.

Do you at least see the irony in your replies? I'm guessing probably not.

I've apologized for being wrong. I've apologized for how I've argued. I'd like to approach these threads differently with more questions from now on.

And for what I said earlier in this thread, you're right. I attacked too much, didn't ask questions on things I didn't know about, and was proven wrong. I do apologize for that.

In their defense who could have known that doubling the labor cost for a fast food restaurant would cause them to raise the price of their food?

What’s their market cap?

Progressives get defensive when their stupid ideas are exposed as stupid. Then, when called out on them, this is how they respond. Classic SOP for a leftist.

Because their rationale on positions is based on feelings. Everything just insert the flag of the month. Most conservatives don't except when it comes to abortion. You have your neocons that base things on feelings when it comes to the next war they want to enter.

And yet the customer service remains a crappy as ever with low grade employees who have zero manners and zero skills for putting out a correct order. The managers must go bonkers over the amount of return items because they were made wrong or omitted items from orders. FTS!

I personally do not care if profits have increased. Good for them and their investors. They should charge as much as they can for their product and if people are still willing to buy, that is not greed. They are exchanging value for value in a free market. I don't eat there because I don't see value in their food at any price. When people stop paying $4.00 for a large french fry then they will have to make adjustments to their business model / pricing strategy or else.
Yep. It's comical that people have started to believe that fast food companies have an obligation to keep their prices as low as possible just because they've allowed themselves to become dependent on them for most of their calories.

Learn to cook for yourself if you don't want to pay someone else to do it. McDonald's has zero obligation to do anything but make as much money as possible. Why shouldn't they charge what people demonstrate that they're willing to pay by continuing to line up for it every day?

They can always fall back on the $12,000 a year in free food stamps.
