Any recommendations for an existing hard wired alarm system? Currently have it monitored but alarm company keeps going up. Key pad is pretty dated, but updating isn't a priority.
TIA

There are alarm companies out there that will utilize your existing system. Some will even offer a small monthly discount. Call around and ask.

There is a company that sells wifi conversion kits online, think it is called Konnects. They sell a board that utilizes your existing hard wired connections and makes the system wifi and wireless capable. Not sure about the monitoring part, however, you would know via phone alerts if your system has been triggered.

Have you considered just having cameras around the perimeter of your house with motion alerts?
Most people can do this with just doorbell and floodlight cameras. I stopped using my alarm system once I set up the cameras, and use a system with no monthly fee (eufy).

Live through this recently. About a year in and don’t regret retaining wired system.
Bought a house recently that was built in 80’s, monitored by ADT with everything hardwired but working. It was maybe $1000 locally to have Custom Security come re-rig the main box to cell, redo panels to Alarm.com, integrate thermostats, and bring it into modern times. Works great, I like it, added wireless sensors for places where I didnt have them like shed, cameras, whatever to Alarm.com system seamlessly.

Had my house converted over by Emergency Alert Security here in BR. He’s got a pretty sweet holiday deal going right now on his website. 12 months free monitoring when you switch over to him, that’s with a system already in place. He’s an Alarm.com distributor could probably work a deal with him if you needed to upgrade your system too. James is the owner. LINK
