The “mob” being citizens. So what “power” of the citizens are you referencing? What “power” of the citizens does populism actually contemplate? And it’s not uprising or physical overthrow of the government. That’s not a natural or default or expected aspect of populism, not in the context of populism that’s subject of this discussion.
So what “power” of the mob-citizens is there to be concerned with or skeptical of?
