Look at the responsibilities of an ER nurse or even an ER doctor.

The CEO has responsibility of every nurse, and ever doctor working in that hospital.

My older brother is a CFO, you dont get handed C-suite jobs.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say there, but Hospital Administrators often have no clue as to the clinical ramifications of their jobs or decisions. Worse yet, they often don't care, because they are simply not paid to care.

My older sister has been CFO at a hospital, and still I will tell you that you are delusional.

Most corporate owned hospitals are run by C-suites who have no souls. They care for their bonuses and their prestige. They will cut costs in areas that GREATLY affect patient care without even feeling a bit of guilt. Some people feel safe when they are in the hospital. Ask me, or any other RN and we will assure you that most are very dangerous places to be - and most of us don’t leave family members alone.
