Govee Outdoor Permeant Lights - Where to install

Bought the govee outdoor permeant lights and now trying to figure out how to best install with my set up.
Lights here
LINK
I have 100’ trying to figure out what to do with
Ignore bushes needing trimming and broken light fixture on the balcony
Thought process is to run them the 50’ across the balcony about 4” from the house then drop them to the bottom and run them on the first story
Should I just stick with the second story and call it good?

I have them installed. You want them 2-4" from the wall, as most of the light and the effects are off of your house not actually from the light itself. Most of the effects start at the controller and go from there. So if its on the right side of your house it will cascade to the left, and vice versa. There's custom settings you can change that, but most of the pre set one's are that way.
I love my Govee lights FWIW. Awesome.

You think I need to do anything on the first floor or just run them up top?

I would say yes, just on the one floor I don't think is a lot. Definitely do from the top down.
FWIW I have a small entranceway that I have not done yet because I had to order an extension. I'll probably do it this weekend. The rest of my house was split up but generally at one height. I think with the front being square it would look like something is missing if just the top, but honestly its completely up to you.

Run them along the edge of your soffit where it meets the fascia. If you put them in a weatherproof case and paint the edge it'll probably blend better in the second floor section.

Not sure about the lights but if you looked in an encyclopedia under "Metairie house," your house would be the example picture

Here's a tip for you. Before you install them, plug one string up and get it turned on and working. Go out at night, and see how far from your house you want them. Do all your corners and what not also, you don't have a lot of that though.
But I ended up moving probably 20 of mine that were either too far or too close. Inside corners and outside corners and different angles you want them slightly different so the light reflects off the walls differently.
You can only see that at night. You can install them at night, I wouldn't though. But its not easy to install them during the day at the right place without having a good idea of how they look at night.

Forgot to update but love how they came out
Had a weird issue when installing that the last strand had to be connected as the second to last strand. When I plugged in the last one it would not light. Did everything to troubleshoot but for some reason it had to be plugged in as second to last which caused me to rip off the second to last strand and move it to the end
Not sold these are permanent with just sticking the 3m adhesive to the soffit. Too many gaps and not enough flat surface to stick them too. Will need to invest in some brackets to screw them in
Pictures don’t do these justice. The different settings and community made options are super cool.

Lights link didn’t work. Can you try again?

Plenty people selling the 3d printed brackets. Waiting on my lights to come in still.

Those lights just seem so small. Hard picturing them giving off a lot of light.

They give off a ton of light, much brighter then just a single strand of Xmas lights for example.

I’ve had mine for about 3 weeks. Absolutely love them but I need to get better at the app. Every night it resets to white as opposed to what I had it on the night before. Any ideas?

Interesting, mine turns on to whatever I last had it on including some BS I let my kids pick.
I know there’s timers and all kinds of other options for other lights, but I’m
Not going to lie having the auto off and on function on the app has been almost worth their cost to me.
