What local shock jock wanted Napier ?

Last night buddy on Mike Scarborough’s show said a local shock jock wanted Napier really badly. Anyone know who he was referring to?

Jordy was simping with Napier pretty bad. It was all for selfish reasons though.. he would have ultimate access if Napier was the coach due to their relationship while he was at ULL. Basically confirms that Jordy is in it for personal gain and not what’s best for LSU.

I think very few people saw Napier being such an epic failure at a big school. Also don't think too many people thought we could get someone like Kelly to leave a place like ND.
But yes, Jordy and others went over the top for the "local" guy.

This is correct. It's perfectly fine to dislike Napier now and clown how poorly he's done in Gainesville. But nobody outside of maybe Guilbeau thought Napier was a better hire than Kelly. Until the Lincoln Riley reports heated up, most LSU fans and media believed the best actually available choices would be Aranda, Napier, or maybe Mark Stoops. James Franklin and Jimbo were the longshots. We were told that Woodward would never hire Kiffin. Kelly was nowhere on the radar.
