Great summary, but I think there might be some voters, specifically in the PAC 12, that will intentionally hurt JD5s chances.

Burrow received 3 third-place votes and was left off of 42 ballots.

If I went back and checked the numbers, rotated them, and squinted I might be able to finagle one player other than Burrow.

But anyone who had 3 should lose their ballot privileges.

"Burrow received 3 third-place votes and was left off of 42 ballots."

And Caleb Williams, despite an easy win last year, was left off 154 ballots.
Omissions could come into play in a very close final tally, which hopefully this one will not be.

Some of these voters are pettier than a 14-year-old girl.

Please tell me the votes aren't anonymous after the fact. How could Burrow be left off any ballot if the person was taking this seriously?

IMO, if you are obviously seen not to take it seriously, you should be permanently banned from voting.

Those who did that should lose all credibility and whatever credentials they hold.

This is how you know the world is composed - at least in part - of pure frickery.

Those 42 should lose their vote. That’s just spiteful,

None of the 42 who left the best player in college football off their ballot should ever be allowed to vote again. Everyone should have a right to voice their own opinion but when that opinion indicates you have no idea how to judge and evaluate the criteria that leads to that opinion, you need to go.

Anyone that left him off their ballot entirely should have been stripped of there vote going forward.
