Looking into possibly visiting San Diego with older teens. I’m about to begin researching. I would love to hear your recommendations on what to see and what to do in the city and surrounding areas.

Thanks in advance.

La Jolla has some cool kayaking tours near the caves and shore cliffs.

Garnet Peak is about an hour drive but really cool drive into the mountains and an amazing hike. You can rent a vehicle through Turo app, super easy and good prices.

Everything alredy mentioned, but also spend an evening/night in little Italy. My kids loved the music, dancing, atmosphere and food.

Don't go out to Coronado without stopping by the Hotel Del.

George's in La Jolla for lunch and then walk down to check out the sea lions at the Cove. Could pair this with something Torrey Pines related since they're both up north.

Speaking of up north Del Mar is about a 20 minute drive to the north, Great setting and some damned good restaurants.

We spent 10 days there back in July….we have two teenage boys, 14 and 17 we brought with us and they had a blast. They were wanting to plan a return trip before we even left to come home.

I will post some recommendations later on tonight and some photos.

Been out there twice on business the past 6 months. I’m a big fan of the dispensaries. Big fan! On a serious note the zoo is cool. Love the sunsets on the Pacific Ocean. Those seals and sea lions are fun to watch. I always can find plenty to do around La Jolla. Last time I was there I stayed at the Embassy Suites in La Jolla/San Diego and they had all kind of stuff to do around that area because herds of people were walking around. I love that part of the country.

Girlfriend started her career in hotel sales at the Del. We always stop by when we’re back, highly recommend. Coronado is like its own little bubble.

In SD Little Italy is great, Gaslamp is great, the waterfront is beautiful, awesome town.

+ Little Italy at night (dinner, walk around)
+ Slot Canyons (don’t miss this)
+ Torrey pines hiking
+ Pacific Beach and Mission Beach (ride bikes along beachfront sidewalk)
+ Venice Beach for a day (there is so much going on there, street performers, skateboarders, lots of activities, that teenagers love)
