Overall I think there are some really good players in this class but you needed big-time prospects at CB and DL. The fact that you couldn't sign elite prospects at those positions is a huge failure and heads need to roll for it.

I could also buy a gripe about the WR group. With LSU’s WR pedigree and 2024 offense to sell, I wonder why you'd even bother with project-type prospects. Billiot has a big opportunity to show what he's got at the AA bowl.

LSU’s Blue Chip Ratio will be higher this year than every playoff team besides Georgia

People seem to let their feelings get ahead of facts.

You can afford to take a couple of swings after a deep and very talented 23 WR class.

Singleton is my favorite of the 3 I think chalk in terms of athleticism. But playing LB is a mindset too, and I hope he’s that dude

Reliford is a maybe
Bussey is a pipe dream
Miller is n the rear view
I want CBK as our CEO and Coach, but he’s got to put his pride and ego aside-
1. House has got to go
2. Realize that the staff he’s put together is not as good as it looked when hired.
3. Recruiting in the SEC is stressful, sleazy, tough - and the staff has to KNOW how to recruit it
4. The players he got at ND were most likely going to ND from the get go
5. He seems to think NIL is beneath him, it’s not it is the way of recruiting modern day and he better realize it NOW!
6. These athletes or recruits are a different breed, it’s all Ball all the time.
I’m all for Academia but each potential recruit is a different situation and he has to realize it. We really only have 3 type of recruiters that can close the door , Frank is one on staff, Wilson and Beldon are top notch but are involved behind the scenes. Need more on staff and figure out way to get the other 2 more involved.
7. Quit relating sketchy recruiting to illegal recruiting, use your resources, all resources.
8. CBK is a much better Coach than Les and O, much better person than both from what we can see, but both won on the moves they made as recruiters not strategically.
9. You are in the SEC with the best Coaches in the country, Saban, Smart, Freeze(better believe it)- despite what fans believe We were the cream of the crop (Georgia, LSU, Bama) now with NIL ( Oklahoma, Texas, TxAM,& even Florida) are using NIL to their advantage better. NIL love it or hate it is here and it’s the way now, CBK is a brilliant coach FIGURE IT OUT NOW.
10. ND would’ve kept CBK forever, LSU and The SEC will not no matter what you think. Reality is fittn to set in: Jimbo 78mill, O 18mill, Malzahn 22mill just to go away- CBK best believe when he says, Championships is why he came here, Well Championships is why he was hired. The other 2 were shown the door after winning one, Recruiting is why each one won theirs with some substantial luck not coaching. CBK’s Luck is about to run out if he doesn’t get a hold of Recruiting not coaching.
It’s the lifeline of the SEC.

What about his history makes you think this is an issue? He fired his right-hand last year when special teams were bad and has had multiple firings of coordinators in his career.

Who knows what he will do, but the idea that he is stubborn like DiNardo and will go down with the ship has no basis in reality.

No I’m just saying his approach to NIL, it’s a sleazy slope that these old school coaches are hesitant to take on, and his loyalty of his word and his somewhat failure in the hiring of defensive personnel. These top Coaches have an Ego bigger than their salary, it cost Les & Jimbo their jobs. Saban was hesitant switching to a more open offense and did, Dynasty created.
Look I’m all in on BK, I’m surely not smarter than him, but this Recruiting has to be taken to different level, not only has House failed as a DC historically at LSU, but he’s not a good recruiter or even recruiter at all.
I’m not saying he won’t make the changes but so far the perception he shown is He’ll fire him on his terms and not let anyone influence him in any way. That’s Ego and that’s the way it should be, but it is affecting Recruiting that side of the ball. 25 class can be historic but it’s all Offense. I’m just saying in today’s NIL you got to show these youngsters we are open on Defense also. We don’t want to become the USC or Oklahoma (both Riley) of the SEC.
Again I’m 100 on CBK but we couldn’t win Conference USA with this defense, and recruiting a SEC worthy D ain’t waiting on us to straighten it out. The 24 class has not put the Natives mind at ease one bit for next year on D that’s all.

The offensive staff is not having any trouble recruiting. We have the #1 WR for 25, and we’re about to get the #1 QB and and a highly rated in-state RB. And this isn’t all Frank. Davis, Hankton and Sloan are all doing well as recruiters and coaches on that side of the ball. People need to start qualifying their bullshite. The only struggles are on the defensive side.

If we weren’t using NIL, we wouldn’t have multiple sources calling Underwood to LSU. We wouldn’t even be in the top 10. The minimum commitment for a top in class QB is over $500k. That just table stakes for one guy. Do you really think NIL is just being ignored with this for context? Damn.

It likely has absolutely nothing to do with ego. Making staff moves today without instant replacements lined up doesn’t help this class. It only hurts your ability to finish this cycle and trying to sift through the early portal entries.

Many head coaches wait until after ESD or even the bowl to make staff moves for a reason. There are fewer guys to recruit in the late period and after bowl prep, you only have to worry about offseason conditioning. Do you really think we should just have analysts doing everything between now and then

This is the difference between the fantasy world some of you exist in and the realities of how an SEC football program operates.

Exactly.

Right or wrong, LSU’s recruiting will always be heavily Louisiana based. This is a weak year in state.

LSU has dominated in-state, as usual, but the players aren’t as highly ranked as usual.

Next couple years, the script will flip and these false narratives will disappear.

Not to mention, treating your coaches with respect and professionalism makes it easier to hire elite coaches.

Saban does the same thing.

A class full of 3 stars isn’t good. I don’t care what some of y’all tell yourselves. Whatever gets you through the day, but it’s not the standard LSU.

Agreed. Perhaps go to the message board of a team with a “class full of 3 stars” and let them know.

LSU doesn’t have that. Not even close.,
