Every other sports league in the world are PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES, not amateur student-athletes. That's why this whole entire convoluted situation is so fricking stupid.
If we want to destroy and tear apart everything that has made CFB great and just make it a mini-NFL feeder system, then why even pretend to be amateurs? Quit making the kids go to class and if they drop a ball or fart at the wrong time you should be able to cut them immediately and no longer pay them. No other options to transfer to? Too bad, you're a professional and this is what you wanted. Who cares that you're 19 and haven't been taking classes so now have zero prospects for your future. The TV networks and conferences got what they wanted so be gone.

I'm ok with all of this. Might as well go all-in instead of pretending to be something they're not like they are now. These kids haven't been true amateur student athletes in a long time.

Schools are restricted from cutting a kid?
Kids get cut from every school in the country every single year.
