I find I either love John’s stuff or hate it and think it’s trash, with no in between. Not sure why either, I guess maybe sometimes you can tell when he actually tried versus when he just mailed it in or let Yoko influence him too much.

I just don’t really seek out solo stuff from them. But if I come across one that I like I add it to my songs though. I had never heard his Grow Old With Me demo until several weeks ago and I really liked it so I added that one.

both john and Paul were better together and that’s pretty indisputable. However Paul’s quantity doesn’t outweigh John’s quality at least for me. When I was a teenager I obsessed over John’s solo records, I know every beat and every strum. He had something to say, while Paul had something to sing

To me that’s the difference

Has anyone ever heard the Freddie Lennon song (John's father) that came out in 1965?
