LINK

Specifically points him out and then talks about him for almost a full minute as an exciting rookie.

Glad to see Hawk getting the attention and others see what we see. Kid looks like he's going to be very good in the NBA for a long time.

The players are almost always the ones that see this stuff long before the media or most fans.

Many players on other teams have been on the Herb Jones All-Defensive Team hype train for a long long time

What makes you know PG actually pays attention too is that they haven’t even seen Hawk in person yet. He’s already seen Wemby in person.

My favorite part was PG liking Hawkins based on off season workouts alone. You know Hawk must be good if he’s getting respect from an all star from just off season practice.

I kept waiting for PG to mention Whitmore but he never did, so strange! Does he know that espn had Whitmore in there to 5?

It seemed like PG has seen Hawkins train though when he referenced where he was training.

Paul George seems to always go out of his way and give praise to young pelicans players. I think last year he was talking up Herb about being the best and hardest defender

Paul George clearly wants to be traded to the Pels.

If only he was paid 1/3 as much, played center, was half his age, and wasn't injured all the time.

Kinda stupid to even mention this. One just turned 19 right after the draft, the other is 21 with more years of experience. And some players take longer to develop. It’s like comparing apples to oranges right now.

I was making a joke, everyone seemed to understand that I’m joking except for you. I swear some of you want Whitmore to be better than Hawkins just so you can feel better about yourself.

There’s been several threads started by other posters saying exactly this, claiming victory. Im just saying it’s way, way to soon. If I’m wrong in 3-4 years I’ll claim it, it’ll be one of few times I disagreed with Griffs decision and was wrong about it.

Im glad Hawkins is pkaying good and looks like a useful player. It can make up for some of the horrible draft picks Griff made and the other firsts he just threw away to make up for bad trades.

There's been some bad moves, but truthfully there's been some big hits from what it looks like, too.

Trey, Herb, Dyson, and Hawk along with Naji and Jose as free agents in recent memory. Getting CJ via trade.

This is an extremely deep team if we can stay healthy and we are almost there. The fact that Trey, Hawk, and Dyson are your three off the bench shows how strong a push this team can make in the playoffs. Trey could start on many teams. Hawk is legit 6th man material and Dyson looks like our future PG.

For all the shite we have gone through, we are at a point where the team looks as good as I can ever remember with how everyone is playing. This doesn't even go into the fact you have great contributors on the back end like Jose and Naji. A solid spot up shooter in Ryan at 47.1 percent right now from 3.

WE STACKED, LEAGUE frickED

Really solid haul and have to give the Pels credit for building out the bottom of their roster through the draft.

They whiffed on 3 straight picks in 2019-2020 drafts in Jaxson Hayes, NAW and Kira, but hard to have done better than the Pels have in the last 3 drafts given where they have been picking.
