Does a Win Friday mean we make it to Knock Out round?

The Group stage is only 4 games from what I've read so our last game for the In-Season Tourney is Friday @ Clipshow.

If we win that game I think with a Rockets loss we win the Group right?

Yes. Rockets loss to Mavs or Nuggets, plus a Pels win over the Clips, and Pels win the group.

As long as Pels win we advance, we are +23 in point differential which is the tiebreaker

Head to Head is the first tie breaker. So if it's just Pels and Rockets we'd lose, but if it's Pels, Rockets and a 3rd team the point differential is the next tie breaker and the Pels would win.

Which I dont think can happen now because the Rockets have @Mavs and vs. Nuggets left.

So I think in theory a win 95% of the time gets you IN. The 5% being that random chance the Rockets beat BOTH the Mavs and Nuggets.

The Rocket game collapse kinda sucks now because we would be 100% guaranteed in the Knock Out round

If we win, we almost certainly win the group. The points differential is heavily in our favor for any tiebreaker.

As has been pointed out, if both us and the Rockets end up 3-1, then the Rockets would advance because of head to head. Though doubt they beat both Mavs and Nuggets. I would assume our point differential would help
with a wild card spot.

Do we have to win the group to get out of it? I’m comparing the group stage to fifa World Cup in my head and usually the top 2 teams make it out

No, there are two wild cards along with the 6 group winners and I believe the lone tiebreaker for determining wild card teams is point differential.

Ok good so there’s still a shot we get one of those 2 wildcard spots. I like our chances against the bum arse Clippers anyways

Yeah I would think if we beat the Clippers, even if the Rockets somehow go 3-1 and get first over us, our point differential would likely make us a wild card. Also if Houston beats Denver but loses to Dallas and we lose to the Clips, all four will be 2-2 and it would come down to point differential to win the group, which if we at least don’t lose by double digits to the Clips would likely be us.
