Right, I was referring to cornerbacks. Should’ve clarified

Basically, but it was more like hey, let's get these 2 guys and we're good, but we can always add others, and we can be picky.

r0cky1,

a little something to walk you back from the ledge, watch the first 15 minutes of this video that addresses Woodland and Causey from Billy Embody and Shea Dixon at On3.

Moscona was on air today saying that replacing a top 100 player with a top 1,000 player was actually a good thing because he trusts Frank Wilson and Corey Raymond. Basically saying it’s good that we are replacing the lose guys because they are from Tennessee and Florida and the 3 stars we picked up are local, as if we didn’t go out and get guys like Jacoby Stevens and Patrick Peterson before.

What he was saying is that he trusts Frank's evaluation on the other two guys, and insinuated that LSU cooled on Bates. I don't know, I'm not a recruiting guru, but we have been expecting the Bates decommittment for awhile. It is plausible that LSU wasn't impressed with his progress.

IF bates was locked in with us everyone wouldn't be critiquing.

I don’t know that Bates even plays CB for his team? Isn’t he 100% offense? Evans “film” is not bad. LSU had everything they needed to land and keep Evans going for them and I don’t believe this was the NIL story that Matthews and Williams were. That Steeples and Cooks managed to lose that kid is incomprehensible.

Stop paying attention to stars. Look at who has offered them. 2 are risers.

This is likely the way it turns out and is definitely the story being sold. The problem is that we are human beings enabled with this gift called a memory.
If memory serves, Causey was going to end up a take even with Evans and Bates. The Bates being dropped thing could've been part of the plan all along but not a sole mentioned it prior to the Causey offer or after until Bates started looking around.
Woodland is a true replacement. Evans caught the staff off guard with the UGA stuff and they reversed course with Woodland. The sell job that Woodland was a take all along is just false. Evans still committed, Woodland visits, Woodland leaves campus and immediately Billy and Shea put in cbs for MSU and basically conveyed that we passed on him. Evans decommits, Woodland is invited in again and commits within days. This all over the course of 10 days or so. Any attempted explanation to the contrary is unequivocally false. I'm positive those threads and cbs can be recalled if need be. The current scenario being laid out is spin. It's been a common theme this cycle for whatever reason.

yeah, corners who aren't 4 stars except on 1 or 2 boards and are local are likely going to be good or great. these tweeners. Hell, in Louisiana a lot of solid 3 stars turn out to be really good corners. as well as wr's. Yep, it's great to get great 5 stars like stingley and Pat Peterson, but there aren't that many out there.

3 stars are special athletes, and those tweeners can be really good.

Josh Williams would not even be getting on the field if LSU had RBs like we did in the past.

Only a ignorant fool would post this. We are a better team because of Josh Williams. He is clutch, he blocks, he catches and runs well. Wish we had 11 players with his grit and determination.

Glad you are not our recruiting coordinator. We would have missed out on Justin Jefferson, the Honey Badger and many others.
