We are going to get a decent amount of rain the next few days. Any chance of the state lifting the burn ban?
I'm wanting to take my boy camping at a state park soon, but we both agree it's not worth going if we can't build a fire.

I thought the state lifted the state-wide burn ban back in the beginning of sugarcane grinding season. They left it up to each parish

Hoping we get a decent amount of rain so they will start lifting bans. Getting into the fall/winter like we are, 2-4" of rain now is alot different than 3 months ago. That water won't evaporate or get sucked up by plants as quickly now.

This crap needs to end asap. Not saying my burn pile is getting too big, but some guy named Ragnar just knocked on my door and asked about my funeral pyre rates.

Which park are you looking at going? Depending on how far your willing to drive, Chicot is allowing fires. I am hoping Tickfaw allows fires this weekend but havent heard anything yet.

Gov doesn’t tell me when I can and cannot burn my sticks.

Fontainebleau State Park has opted out of the burn ban.
